WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says Congress needs to stay in town and get the budget negotiations done — even if it means canceling other plans back home.

Obama said that while lawmakers have been taking regular recesses, he’s been in Washington working. Obama challenged lawmakers to “stay here. Let’s get it done.”
